AB-14 – Revised Price Filing Forms
What businesses need to know about updated price filing forms and vendor number requirements
Maryland updated the wine and liquor price filing forms used by manufacturers, wholesalers, and non-resident dealers.
The revised forms include changes to how vendor numbers are recorded and must be used for all future price filings.

What Changed
Maryland revised the wine and liquor price filing forms.
The main update is:
- Vendor numbers have been expanded from four digits to five digits
New Vendor Number Requirement
To complete the updated forms:
- Use a five-digit vendor number
If you currently have a four-digit number:
- Add a “0” at the beginning of your existing number
Example:
- 1234 → 01234
This ensures compatibility with the new form format.
Filing Requirements
- Use the revised forms for all price filings
- Submit forms according to required deadlines
For this update:
- Effective date: June 1, 1997
- Filing deadline: May 5, 1997
Use of Old Forms
- Old forms should be discarded
- Only revised forms should be used moving forward
Computer-Generated Forms
You may use a computer-generated version of the form if:
- You receive prior approval from the Comptroller’s Office
Important Notes
- Incorrect or outdated forms may delay processing
- Vendor numbers must be entered correctly to avoid errors
- Always confirm you are using the latest approved form
