Maryland updated its keg registration program by removing fees for registration forms, and this guidance explains what changed, how to obtain forms, and any limits on ordering.
What you need to know
- Keg registration forms are now provided at no cost
- Fees were discontinued effective July 1, 1998
- Ordering limits may apply based on business needs
- Keg registration requirements remain in effect

What Changed
Previously:
- Retailers were charged $12.50 per booklet (25 forms)
Now:
- Keg registration forms are provided at no cost
Effective:

Ordering Forms
Retailers may:
- Order keg registration booklets from the agency
However:
- Orders may be limited to a reasonable six-month supply
This is based on:
- Business size
- Operational needs
- Past order history
What Has Not Changed
- Keg registration is still required by law
- Retailers must continue to follow all registration procedures
- Local boards remain responsible for enforcement
What This Means for Businesses
Retailers should:

Important Notes
- The fee change does not affect compliance obligations
- Ordering limits may apply to prevent over-supply
