Maryland provides specific procedures for ordering cigarette tax stamps to ensure timely processing and accuracy. This page explains how to submit orders, avoid delays, and maintain proper authorization records.

What you need to know

  • Incomplete or incorrect orders will be returned
  • Authorized signatures are required
  • Signature cards must be kept up to date

Requirements / Process / Rules

  • Submit purchase orders by mail or express mail
  • Ensure all orders are complete and accurate
  • Include an authorized signature on each order

Order Processing

  • Orders are processed within one business day
  • Walk-in orders may be completed the same day
  • Requests for delayed shipment will be honored when clearly stated

Order Issues and Corrections
