ATCC Enforcement Activity, FY2024
A vital part of overseeing the licensing and regulatory aspects of Maryland’s alcohol and tobacco industry is enforcing the laws governing how alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis are manufactured, distributed, and/or sold. Our skilled, stalwart Field Enforcement agents conduct inspections and investigations to ensure public safety across all aspects of the industry.
During FY2024, the ATCC Conducted:
- Tobacco/Cannabis Inspections: 3,499
- Alcohol Inspections: 2,316
Across Maryland in FY2024, the ATCC Handled 265 Violations, Seizing Contraband Products:
- 844,716 sticks of OTP (Other Tobacco Products)
- 37,784 packs of cigarettes
- 3,339 containers of distilled spirits, wine and beer
For a total tax loss of $779,144
